The
Hospitality Committee provides coffee between services
as well as juice and cookies for the Sunday school students
weekly. We believe that this time is important for our
members to forge relationships, share our time and talents
with one another, and offer one another support at times
when it is needed. We have long recognized that it is
not just about the coffee!
In
addition to maintaining the coffee schedule, the members
of this committee continue to work to maintain, stock,
and clean the church's kitchen during the Spring and
Fall clean-up's and throughout the year.
As
in other years, the Hospitality Committee met throughout
this past year on an as-needed basis to help plan
some of the events all members of HTELC have come
to look forward to, such as Sunday School in the park
in June, New Member celebrations, First Communion,
Confirmation and other events, such as the Natural
Church Development program. The combined projects
and maintenance of par levels of paper goods for various
events were carried out using $300 of the $500 budgeted
for this work.
The
Annual Congregational Meeting brings us full-circle
in the calendar of events for this committee. We take
pride in our efforts in planning these special events
and thank the countless individuals who contribute
to ensure that we always have enough to eat at every
celebration! We welcome any and all of those who might
be interested in joining this fun and dynamic group!
